Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share and protect your information. Effective August 28, 2026.

1. Who we are and what this covers

FOSNE Insurance ("FOSNE," "we," "us") is an independent insurance agency. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information we collect through this website, our forms, phone calls, text messages, emails, and when we help you apply for insurance.

By using this website or giving us your information, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email, mailing address and ZIP code.
  • Coverage details: the type of coverage you want, your mortgage balance, loan term, and best time to reach you.
  • Application details (only if you apply): date of birth, gender, height and weight, tobacco use, health and medical history, prescriptions, occupation, income, beneficiary information, Social Security number, driver's license number, and payment or bank details for premiums.
  • Career applicants: resume, work history, licensing status and similar details.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and general location, collected through cookies and similar tools.

Information from others: With your permission, insurance companies we submit applications to may get information from consumer reporting agencies, the MIB (Medical Information Bureau), prescription databases, motor vehicle records, and your healthcare providers. They use it to decide on your application.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your requests and contact you about the coverage you asked about.
  • To compare options and prepare quotes from the insurance companies we're appointed with.
  • To submit and service applications and policies, including renewals and claims help.
  • To send calls, texts and emails you've agreed to receive.
  • To review career applications.
  • To run, secure and improve our website, and to prevent fraud.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, licensing and recordkeeping requirements.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

We share information only as needed to serve you:

  • Insurance companies you choose to get a quote or apply with, and their underwriters.
  • Licensed agents working with FOSNE who help with your request.
  • Service providers who help us run our business (website hosting, phone and text systems, email, CRM and data storage). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and regulatory reasons: to comply with law, a subpoena or court order, requests from insurance regulators, or to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.
  • Business transfers: if FOSNE is merged, acquired or sells assets, information may transfer under this policy.
  • With your consent in any other case.

5. Calls, texts and your consent

If you check the consent box on our forms, you agree that FOSNE Insurance and its licensed agents may contact you at the number you gave us by live calls, calls using an automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, and SMS/MMS text messages, even if your number is on a federal, state or company Do Not Call list. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
  • To stop calls, tell your agent or call us at (718) 310-9447. We will honor opt-out requests within a reasonable time as required by law.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Calls may be recorded for quality, training and compliance.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tools to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Some may be provided by analytics or advertising partners. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Your browser's "Do Not Track" signal is not treated uniformly across the industry. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

7. Insurance privacy (GLBA and state law)

When you apply for or buy insurance through us, your nonpublic personal information is also protected by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance privacy laws, including New York's insurance regulations. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties except as allowed by law, such as to process your application or service your policy.

Health information is used only for underwriting, servicing and claims, and is never used for marketing. You may request access to and correction of recorded personal information about you as provided by applicable state insurance law.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep under insurance law).
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information.
  • Appeal our decision on your request.
  • Not be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email info@fosneinsurance.com, call (718) 310-9447, or use our Do Not Sell or Share page. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent with your written permission. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with "Appeal" in the subject line.

9. California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, in the past 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers; personal records (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.80); protected characteristics such as age and gender; commercial information; internet activity; general geolocation; professional information; and sensitive personal information (Social Security number, health information and financial account details) for applications only.

Sources, purposes and recipients are described above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of consumers under 16. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes allowed by law. Information covered by the GLBA or California insurance privacy law may be exempt from some CCPA rights. California's "Shine the Light" law lets you ask how we share information for direct marketing; we do not share it for third parties' direct marketing.

10. Residents of other states

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others, may use the rights listed in section 8. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information; we do not sell it. Some of these laws do not apply to information covered by the GLBA or state insurance law.

11. How we protect your information

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as encryption in transit, access controls and limited employee access, to protect your information. We follow applicable data security rules for insurance licensees, including the New York Department of Financial Services cybersecurity regulation where it applies. No system is 100% secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

12. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as insurance, tax and other laws require. Then we delete or de-identify it.

13. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Information about minors named as insured people or beneficiaries is collected only from a parent or guardian as part of an application.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or on the site.
